Ok first a "BIG THANK YOU" to Kimberly Knight another of my fav authors for being the encouragement to get Miss Harte to write this book!  

I love a book that makes me run the gamut of emotions and this book does that!  You will laugh (and actually a lot), love, cry, get mad, oh yes and you may get a little hot and bothered.  Because Miss Harte knows how to write a steamy scene.

So since I thought maybe we could find out what makes this new author tick so I asked her few questions about the book oh and about her too!  Read on:

 

Who or what was your inspiration for this book?

I did the online dating thing for several years, using various sites, including Craigslist. I’ve had some interesting experiences through that and I vowed that someday I would write a book about some of them, so Love in All the Wrong Places is inspired by some dating experiences I’ve had.

If your book was made into a movie who would play Annie? Nate? Alex? Casey (I think I know this one)? How about Jerk (aka Mark)?

How did your meet your fiance?

We met on Craigslist about 10 years ago. He was looking for female friends and I was looking for a boyfriend, lol. He claims he was in the Platonic section, but he answered my Women Seeking Men ad. We went to a movie and hung out afterwards, just talking (well, mostly I talked and he listened, he was extremely quiet and shy), and I decided to just go for it and tell him every skeleton in my closet. Instead of running for the hills, he stuck around! And about 2.5 years ago, he finally proposed! J

What is your favorite song to Karaoke to?

It’s a toss-up…I definitely have my list that I always go to when I can’t think of something new to sing, lol. Because the Night by 10,000 Maniacs, Wonder by Natalie Merchant, All I Really Want by Alanis, What’s Up by 4 Non Blondes, Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Rebel Yell by Billy Idol…but of those, the first two are probably my favorite.

Some authors use music for inspiration for their books do you and if what would be your playlist?

Most definitely…music plays a large part in my writing, both to listen to while I write and for certain scenes in the story. And I do have a soundtrack playlist. Here it is! J

I’m working on getting the sequel out no later than August this year. You’ll be seeing more of a couple of our gorgeous guys as Annie tries to figure out which guy to choose, but she’s also going to be going through a major life change that will be fun, exciting and scary for her!

Suicide Note by Teresa Mummert

I love books that make you feel all kinds of emotions and this one did!  Empathy, anger, love, scared, joy, sadness, but yet had me laughing in appropriate spots too!  The story alternates between Jenn's and Shanes POV.  I don't always like this style of writing but she makes it work.  The story begins with both of them telling you a little about themselves.  Jenn comes from a family that well let's just say this they are all about how the appear to the world.  Not Jenn really, but her sister and mother are only about themselves.  So much that her sister actually steals Jenn's dream from her.  Shane had somewhat of a different upbringing in that his father had left when he was very young and his mother was gone by the time he was six.  He was raised by his Aunt and Uncle.  Both of them share being badly hurt by someone they love.  But they are stronger than they give themselves credit for.     Shane is in the military and maybe this story touches me more because my husband was in the military but I enjoyed every word of it.  Oh yes and Thanks to Teresa Mummert for the puffy red eyes the next morning after finishing the book at 2 am.  Yes it's that kind of book. Just can't put it down.  So go check it out and enjoy!

One Week Girlfriend by Monica Murphy

I wasn't real sure about this book when looking through my choices of new release in the Romance section.  But I have to tell you this is not just another book in which the couple pretend to be something to later fall in love.  There are so many turns in the road and wow I guess I would call them maybe even wrecks in the road.   She takes what has become somewhat expected in a lot of erotic romance novels and puts a spin on it.  These characters are written so well that you feel for them as someone you know.  You will laugh, cry, hate (oh yes you will hate the wicked witch of west), and of course need to calm your speeding heart as you read the hot scenes. I absolutely loved this book and will be patiently awaiting the next book in the series.

Kristen Proby does it yet again with Play with Me

Just finished Play with Me the 3rd book by Kristen Proby in the With me in Seattle Series.  "WOW WOW WOW"  she had done it yet again.  I have loved every single one of these books but I really think Will oops I mean this is my favorite.  Will is the brother of Jules and he is a hot mouth dropping, pantie wetting, make you forget what you were typing, football playing hunk of an alpha male.  Oh by the way a few times he is even an "arrogant a$$" but doesn't really mean to be.  Megan is a college friend of Jules and Nat.  She has had one heck of a life but is a independent woman that isn't going to take crap from a "football star".  She is a nurse on a Cancer unit in the local Children's hospital and absolutely loves her patients but is also a very talented singer.  Due to her difficult life and trust issues she has a very hard time saying those 3 little words....So does she ever??   Guess you will just have to read it yourself.

I love yet again how Proby continues to bring out a new story but still keeps the ones from the first books in the background.  Here's a hint there may be a wedding/birth of a baby are involved in this book somewhere but it's not Meg and Will's but if you have read the other's you will know.  So if you have read the other books please go get this one because it will not disappoint.  And if you haven't read the others than WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??

 

Forever My Girl by Heidi McLaughlin The Beaumont Series Book One

Remember your best friend from your childhood?  You did everything together and then imagine leaving and not keeping in touch.  Then all of sudden he is gone and you must return home to face the music and "her". 

Liam is a Rockstar that left his friends and the only girl for him behind without a word.  But he can't let her go she is his "Forever Girl".

This book will have you getting teary eyed in the first chapter and if not then definitely the second one.  Then you will laugh, want to kick Liam's butt, maybe want to knock Josie upside the head a time or two also.  You will cry for both of them and for the loss of their friend Mason and the family he leaves behind.  Heidi will bring out all kinds of emotions with her in depth characters that makes you feel like you actually know them (you know your make believe "book friends" that only the people who have read the book know and understand).   Oh don't forget there is also Noah a sweet football playing boy but I'm not telling you how he fits into this book.  You will just have to read it to figure that out for yourself.  This is one of those books that you can't put down you will stay up until 2 am with blurry eyes, your arms can't even hold up the reader, and your hubby is grunting and turning the other way to get the light out of his face, and yes you need to be up in 4 hours.  But you can't put it down you have to find out what happens......

 

 

 

 

 

Hustle Me by Jennifer Foor( A Bank Shot Romance)

Jennifer did it again!  I will tell you I was a little apprehensive about this book.  The reason being is her Mitchell Family books I am so in love with and I was afraid that my expectations were maybe a little too high.  But again Jennifer did not disappoint.  I read this book in one day.  I laughed, cried (the good and bad kind), got mad and also maybe blushed a time or actually several times.  Wow the life that Charlie has been through and what a wonderful young woman she has became is amazing.  Jammer what can I say he is  a hustler (in more ways than one) but you later grow to love him too.  Their love story is amazing.  I am really looking forward to Hustle Him coming out in April!  If you haven't read any of the Mitchell Family Series books go get them too!  She also has The Diary of a Male Maid coming out next month can't wait to see what that entails.

 

Tagalicious!

Finished reading the latest Club Destiny book Infatuation by Nicole Edwards.  I have to say I think this is my favorite one so far as I absolutely love Tag.  Tag is a bald well built inked up lawyer but you would never know it because he hides it behind his all business suits.   Tag is "afraid to fall" but you find out actually although he will not admit to it well not yet anyways that he fell in love at first sight.   McKenna is a fiery redhead that has been burnt by love before.  She runs her own on-line magazine.  They cross paths while she is covering a story in which Tag is defending Club Destiny's member's privacy.  Club Destiny wins the case however the Susan (the woman who wants revenge) still is threatening to release names.  McKenna then offers to help Tag, Luke, and Logan by writing a exclusive on the private club.  Of course her private tour guide is Tag (poor girl).  Tag being the lawyer that he is has McKenna sign a contract to stay with him for 7 days in the Club.  As the 2 fall in love another issue rears his ugly head threatening yet their relationship and the club.  This book has a little bit of everything including hot sexy scenes that I have definitely come to expect from Edwards, danger, suspense, and what I like best is that I still am involved in a story that started several books ago.  So you still know how Logan, Samantha, Luke, Sierra, Cole, Alex, and Ashleigh and yes you even get to find out some about the Walker Brothers and what's going on with the development of Alluring Indulgence.  So go get reading.....

Ok I think this is just fun so this is my Tag!  I have no idea who he is but he is Tag in my mind..

Kaleb, An Alluring Indulgence Novel by Nicole Edwards

Just finished this book this morning and I have to say wow...Nicole knows how to write a sex scene.  You will start off knowing what kind of book this is when you find out one of the characters was standing on the side of the road holding up a sign that said "Will work for sex".  And this is just one of the Walker Brothers.  The Walkers is a family of 7 (yes seven) alpha, male, brothers that all have their own place on the parents property well except the twins they share one.  Together the brothers are running the family business.  Kaleb's story (and I sure hope we get the others)  is about him falling in love with his best friend Zoey.   Zoey and Kaleb have actually been in love with each other since they were in Eighth grade but neither have ever acted on it.  Both have had other relationships along the way and Zoey has even been married before. Well of course with any good love story there has to be some issues and they have plenty including some issues that his brothers (namely the twins) help to cause but they only did it because they are also protective of Zoey.   Back to the sex scenes I don't think they can get any hotter...wow I mean wow...oh I forgot to mention another important player in this love story Gage but I'm not telling you how he fits into this.  You will just have to read it and find out!  I really enjoyed how the author is tying in the Club Destiny characters in with the Alluring indulgence.  I love to find out little tidbits about the characters.Also it's great because I just purchased Infatuation A Club Destiny Novel that  was released today!  Go get them all you will not be disappointed.  Just check out the Covers below...ok now put your tongue back in your mouth and go get them.....lol!

Just remember you have been warned!  LOL!  I just finished reading Conviction, Tempatation and Addicted (Club Destiny Series) by Nicole Edwards.  And wow I think the sex scenes in these books are hotter than Fifty Shades of Gray.  I know most are asking how that is possible well let me give you the PG version.  Conviction is the love story of Logan and Samantha (however I substitute my name for her several times, well ok all through out the book lol)  Oh did I forget the most important part.....Logan has an identical twin brother named Luke.  The second book is the story of Luke, Sierra, and Cole and if you think the first book was on fire oh just wait until you get into this one.  The third or 2.5 if you will is a novella that gets you back up to date with Logan and Angi (oops I mean Samantha) but also keeps you informed on what is going on with Luke, Sierra, and Cole.  The next book due out February 28th!

The Devoured Series

Ok here is yet another series that I am anxiously awaiting the release of the third book!  Emily Snow is brilliant!  Lucas is my favorite HOT rocker and believe me I so am  ready for my Lucas fix.  The first book is Devoured.  This starts off with the heroine Si and is written from her point of view.  This story takes you through several emotions and you may even feel some hatred at first towards Lucas but he may surprise you.  The 2nd book is a novella All Over You and this one is written from Lucas's point of view and takes you back so that you understand how they originally met it also gives you some more insite into why Lucas is the way he is and why he did some of the things he did in the first book.  The third book is due out early summer and I can't wait.   I forgot to tell you the end of book one is kind of a cliff hanger so we are all waiting patiently. 

The Disarm Series

If you like a book about a hot man in uniform and the love of his life than pick up or download the Disarm Series by June Gray.  This series is about Henry and Elsie.  They have been lifetime friends.  They grew up together and have always had feelings for each other but don't act on them until after Elsie's brother and Henry's best friend is killed in action.  Each book shows you how they jump all of the hurdles in their lives to be together or not to be together.  These books will make you cry sometimes from heartbreak sometimes for happiness but that's what makes a great book.  The best part is you can get all 6 books now and also if you check out June Gray's blog she has another short story on there for free that gives you an update of where they are now.  But DON'T read that until you read the books because it may spoil it for you.  Can't wait for more great things to come from this author.

With me in Seattle Series by Kristen Proby

Thought maybe I could start by going over a few books that I have recently read and that I am so patiently waiting on the next book to be released (if you know me at all I'm not really patient).

So I decided to start with Kristen Proby's The With Me in Seattle Series:

The first book in the series is Come Away with Me.  This is the story of Luke and Natalie.  Luke is a hot former well known actor and Natalie doesn't have a clue as to who he is.  He actually really likes the fact that she isn't aware of his former life.  However things start out a little rocky because of this.  Natalie has some issues of her own that really makes her weary of trusting anyone so his non-disclosure of who he is doesn't go over very well.  Natalie lives  with her very protective and sister-like best friend Jules.  Jules family has practically adopted Natalie since her family is gone.  This book is full of steamy scences between Luke and Natalie that leaves you wanting more.....

For Christmas Proby released Under the Mistletoe with Me novella which is a sweet short love story (oh yea some good scences to make your heart race too) of Isaac and his wife Stacy.  Isaac is Jules (Natalies best friend's) brother.  And wanting yet more.....

Thank goodness she went on to book 2 Fight with Me.  This is the story of Jules and Nate (Jules boss which makes their story real interesting).  What I love about this book is Jules and Nate have their own story but Proby continues to put in pieces of Natalie and Luke so you still know how they are doing as well. Oh almost forgot the most important part (blushing) OMG I now know what a apadravya..... (sorry had to shake the thought of that out of my head).  Ok so I learned something new lol.  And yet again Proby leaves us wanting more....

So what am I waiting for you ask well it is Will's story Jules and Isaac football playing hot and loveable brother it's due out in March 2013 and I am counting down the days.  I will have the button ready to purchase as soon as it's available.

They say not to judge a book by it's cover but when I am looking at these books I do.... and I want more.....

His smiled beamed so bright after I whispered those words and he crushed his mouth to mine, kissing me deeply as if his life depended on this one kiss. He wasted no time ridding me of my tank and pajama bottoms and began exploring my body first with his hands, and then with his mouth. Placing feather light kisses on my most sensitive areas.

I could feel his lip ring with every kiss that he placed. The cold metal against my heated skin was almost enough to send me over the edge. My hips thrust up of their own accord and Kane hooked his finger around the string of my pink panties before leisurely pulling them down my legs. Once he had rid them from my ankles he raked his eyes up my body. Starting at my toes then slowly going up my legs, pausing a bit longer on my more intimate areas, before resting back on my eyes. I should feel a bit insecure being all exposed to him like this but I didn’t feel that at all. Seeing his desire for me actually made me feel empowered. Just knowing that I could make his breathing shaky and eyes gloss over the way they were, had my body humming all over.

“Every inch of you is perfect Kelsey.” He shook his head slightly as if trying to bring himself out of a daze. Lightly grasping my ankle in his big strong hand, he brought it to his mouth and placed soft kisses there and then up calf, murmuring sweet little words in between each kiss. When he finally made it to my thigh I felt him sink down onto the bed, lying flat on his stomach. Oh Lord. I didn’t know a lot about sex but I knew what this meant and my body automatically went ridged.

“Um Kane… I don’t know if you should….” I broke off, not knowing if I could actually come out and say the exact words.

“Kelsey…. just shut up.” He smiled up at me, before placing a feather light kiss high on my inner thigh, almost but not quite close enough to where I was throbbing.

 

 

About me....

I started this blog to discuss the books that I have come to love.  I am a bookaholic and need my meetings (lol) or blog to get these books out of my system.  So a little about me I am a mother of 3, 2 boy yes and 1 girl, married to the love of my life.  I am a nurse but I travel a lot for my job.  So as I was stuck in a hotel by myself I decided to go across the street to the Barnes and Noble and see if I could find a book to read.  I walked away with Fifty Shades of Grey.  Well lets just say my life will never be the same (just ask my husband).  So I finished reading the first book in 2 days (very little sleep), and I then found myself back at that same store.  I then purchased a Nook and the other 2 books of the trilogy.  Since that evening in November I have purchase another 218 books and have read all but the 2 that I purchased last night and can't wait to read.  So I have quite a few books to talk about please join in and give me your opinions or let me know what to read next!
